My first 3 months in Australia have passed already

I just discovered it's been 2 months since I wrote something.. Time really flies doesn't it! Especially when you are having fun (in the sun)
I am pleased to tell you all I am still doing well, saving piglets, shining in the sun and partying and culturing on the weekends ;)
1,5 more week of farm work and the trial is (successfully) finished! We got some amazing great reviews from our lovely vets, they keep saying we do wonderful work and they are very proud, so I hereby pronounce myself (pig)vet assistant! :) could always come in handy right?! haha
I am gonna miss those crazy creatures, with their wild oinking, their lovely sweet black eyes, tiny feet and unpredictable behavior… I feel good about 'making a difference in the world' even though it is to get you more bacon on your plate.. to me they were all sweet, lovable and cuddly pigs with their own personality and I will cherish warm memories (and no mum, I do not associate this with wanting to have kids, because I am still greatly happy to leave them after 10 hours of work)
With 50 hours of work every week (night shifts) it doesn't leave a whole lot of time for other things at the moment but Marieke and me have proudly attended 2 Dutch parties here in Perth in 2 following weekends (one for Kingsday and one for Bevrijdingsdag ;)) and we have discovered the Eve Nightclub at the casino and the Metropolis in Fremantle. Furthermore I went to see the Perth Zoo, Perth Aquarium, the Perth Mint (where they sell and forge gold!) I was live witness to a bar of gold being poured.. *special* haha, was awesome though!
I still have to get used to driving on the left side in our precious Ford Falcon, and sitting on the right side!!! My god, if I would get a dollar for every time I turn on the windscreen wipers instead of the indicator .. embarrassing.. I also have a thing for wanting to shift gears on the right side.. you should know the gear box is obviously on the left side and we don't even have gears.. it's a manual..
Soon we will drive out to the north, we will leave our beloved Mandurah, where we spend hours drinking coffee on terraces near the water, strolling through our shopping mall and head on towards Broome for new adventure!
The basic strategy is to explore the north, drive passed the coastal line to hopefully discover some beautiful wildlife and get our remaining 12 days for our second year visa!
So far so good, will try and keep you updates!

Klinkt allemaal goed! Broome is ook erg mooi en het weer zal ook mooier worden naarmate je meer naar het noorden reist vanaf Perth. Lekker man!
